Food coated with anxiety

An article in the Mayo Clinic by Daniel K. Hall-Flavin, M.D. titled “Is it true that certain foods worsen anxiety and others have a calming effect?” mentions that while there are not any diet changes that can cure your anxiety, however paying attention to what you eat may help.
While the usual stuff is mentioned: breakfast should include proteins; eat complex carbohydrates; drink plenty of water; limit alcohol; limit caffeine, eat healthy and balanced means what caught my attention was the author mentioning to pay attention to food sensitivities.
“In some people, certain foods or food additives can cause unpleasant physical reactions. In certain people, these physical reactions may lead to shifts in mood, including irritability or anxiety”, the author mentions. It was rather interesting to know that certain foods or food additives can lead to increase anxiety levels.
