This is a normal experience and has very common signs and symptoms.  The most common symptoms of anxiety are apprehension and an uneasy or unpleasant feeling.  Followed with the initial feelings we have a normal biological response to the anxiety trigger such as headache, stomach discomfort, palpitations, tightness in chest, and even restlessness.  When anxiety becomes a problem it is with special care that a trained Mental Health Professional find the details and root causes of this anxiety in order to limit the severity.  There are plenty of subcategories of anxiety you can find on the web but that’s why we are here to help you.

Stress

Stress

Stress is usually described as some type of circumstance that disrupts your normal physiological or emotional state of being.  The stress trigger is very convoluted and needs to be sought out in order to reduce or learn skills to treat the stress.  When we are under any amount of stress the body has a biological response and the constant response to this trigger of stress can lead us to medical and psychological issues or both.  Without the proper stress relief or dealing with the stressor(s) an individual may seek alternate treatments which may lead to other health and psychological trauma.  Still have questions?  Please contact us to start the stress relief process.

ADHD

Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder

Historically this diagnosis was used for children who were slow to develop control over impulses.  Mainly suggested from teachers to the parents and then the doctors as a referral source.  Old School of thought use to be that the child would “grow out of it”  as they aged through adolescence into adulthood.  Only over the last few decades has the medical community identified and successfully treated adults with ADHD.  The signs and symptoms are still apparent yet they affect the adult in social and employment situations creating anxiety or unstable positions.  For more information or free evaluation contact or office today.
